This workshop focueses on what the GED is, rules and regulations, and how a person should prepare to be successful in the classroom and on the GED.

Available day care facilities in the City of Buffalo, how to appkly for daycare, what is daycare and what should you look for in daycare providers.
WIC: The Best Nutrition for You and Your Child
An overview of WIC services and program eligibility requirements. WIC provides food, nutrition, counseling, food/vouches and referrals for eligable pregnant women, breastfeeding women and infants and children under the age of 5.

How to Overcome Barries to Obtaining Your GED
How and where to receive advice and counseling to barriers on obtaining your GED such as: Relationship issuea, drug abuse, self-esteem, lack of confidence, and mental health issues.
Connecting the Dots
Information on overcoming short-term life issues and finding a better long term solutuion. Issues to be discussed will be DSS service, emergency relief information and more.

Helping Youth Reach the Goal of a GED
There are several steps students and their families for a person to move from the school district to a GED class. This is an opportunity for families to meet with Toita Carr, a community eduction leader, with Buffalo Public School' Student Support Services. Toiya will be on hand to answer question, sign up students for the initial education recovery meeting, and look up credits of former Buffalo Public School students.
